I am tired but tired in a good way.  What a busy, busy summer I had.  It started with a trip to Orlando to meet up with two very good friends and join up with many, many women from around the world to praise and worship God.  After several days of intense listening to great speakers and amazing singing, I was transported to a resort for a week of renewing memories with my two great friends.  We talked, we read, we walked, we ate and we slept.  It is amazing that after 30 some years of us not all being together at the same time, we were transported back in time as we recalled our memories of our working together in Jamaica and sharing so much of our early married life.  Many things have changed since then, but the friendship remained strong.  Thank God for the friendship of other loyal and faithful women.

Following the wonderful 10 days or so in Orlando, I was joined by our lovely young granddaughter who just reached the age of 12, and she spent from June 30th to August 31st with us.  What a delightful young lady she is and we shared many happy events as we toured NB, PEI and even parts of Quebec and Ontario.  And then time with our two grandsons all summer – delightful, active little boys – our house was buzzing with activity and our pool was seldom empty.  Having our third son and only daughter with us much of the summer was also wonderful and gave me a break every now and then to catch my breath.

If that wasn`t enough activity, we then drove to Ontario for 16 days of visiting with our two oldest sons and some updating on their lives and getting to know more about their lives.  Of course, the highlight again was spending most of this time with our youngest granddaughter.  I love all our children dearly, but they are all grown up now and there is nothing much better than spending time with grandchildren, and especially when one is not solely responsible for them all the time.  This beautiful little grandchild kept me smiling through our whole vacation in Ontario, except of course, when she received bumps and bruises in our care.  So sorry, sweetheart, but a kitchen is not a race course and was never intended to be so.  We really, really did try to protect you.

Summer is over, and now I am resting and hopefully I will get some more time to blog.
